I remember when these were first put on ebay for that ridiculous price and there were questions as to their authenticity as the decals are wrong amongst other things but i was just having a wee keek again and it looks as though the decals/klein name on the fork legs have been painted in different places. The one closest in the picture seems to have the Klein name facing straight ahead almost whereas the other is more to the side? Plus i thought according to Kai (archangel) that there was no sea and sky until '94?

Without seeing the serial numbers, I'd venture to say that these bikes aren't '90-'91 models as the seller posts but they could be. The color though is definitely candy teal from the '93 catalog offering - I can't see any trace of blue in any of the pics which would rule out Sea & Sky.

yes this is candy teal!
a 90/91 frame would have had the box design fork...
but when these are employee bikes i could also imagine that they tinkered something weird from different model years.

I had a late MC1 Attitude in Sea and Sky. Was all original paint too. I'll try and dig out the pics.

They are probably painted on factory -93?
Klein paint a lot frames -93 with decals like these belonging to -94 models, also some sea&sky´s.

Frames are both 18" / XS so smallest of Klein frames.
They are also from different years. Other has longer seattube above toptube.
It´s older version, maybe -91 other looks like -92.
Both looks like they have 27.2 seatpost.

-93 they had bigger downtube and 31.6 seatpost.

Agree with that ^. The first '93 Attitude I had had the '94 graphics on the downtube and top tube but had the earlier 'Klein' logo on the fork legs. As I've mentioned before on this board, their quality control was not the best during the '93 to '94 transition.

And then there was one..............

$3800 for frame and forks but no MC1 :?, buyer must have had one kicking around the house I guess????

I wonder which one is the one that he's selling now. The "his" or "her" version? Maybe this is a sign that the world economy is finally turning around. :P
