Can integrated headsets fit any frame? or does the headtube need to be different in some way
And are they any good

Its depending on the angle of the contact surface between the bearing and frame. There are alse semi-interated, they use press-fit cups. These sould fit more frames.

No, you need a larger diameter head-tube with a machined recess to accept the cup (semi-integrated) or bearing (fully-integrated). The bearings should in theory be better supported than an external cup.
