27" tyres. ....

Hi all.
I have almost finished overhauling a vintage puch pursuit. The last hurdle to overcome is tyres!
Does anyone know where I can find some 27 inch white wall tyres? I've checked all the usual places. ..ebay has some but they are very cheap looking.

Will 700c fit? What's the size difference?

The 700c tires will not fit, but you should be able to order tires from a quality bike shop. Panarcer makes a quality 27 inch tire but I do not know if it comes in a white wall.

Panaracer Pasela is available in skinwall. White walls seem usually to be on utility-quality shopper or cruiser tyres.

there are always World tours... by Michelin. Paselas are a bit thin in my view, if you want 27 x 1-1/4". I have had white walls in the past and remember getting some from ebay. they were on my Flyer for a while, I'll dig out an image if I can remember. Marathons have a nice white reflective thin strip going around the wall of the tyre, but mainly black. Just got a pair for my main work bike.
