Are they strong as in strong enough for a 12 stone + kit to use over the bumpy stuff?
Im thinking of changing for a nice ano one,so to protect the ano i would prefer to use a USE thermoplastic shim and as the frame takes 27.2 i thought i'd go for 25.0 in a 27.2 plastic shim.
Or is it to be used by lightweight types :?

Never seen one snap at the post. Clamps I've seen fail, but only one at a time.

USE posts are a bit of a pain to setup but once on, the only problem I ever had was slipping. Some people seem to get that, others dont. I must have a fat ass :)

25mm posts have been used in road bikes for years and years and then some. Plus BMX too.

It will be fine.

Unusual to have 300mm of showing post on a roadie or bmx.i ride small frame long post,so with such a length i would be concerned about it snapping
Thats all :)

I am 95 kgs and use a 25.0 use on one of my bikes, and a 25.0 cheapie on my Alan roadbike, all fine. And they were still fine when I was 110 kgs...
