@1552 well spec wise it's similar to what a modern P7 is and that retails at £2600.
i haven't decided what i'm doing with it yet, i built this because i wanted to, i have a modern P7 which i really like, i'd done the retro modern KilaHonzo and thought it would be cool to do an Orange retro modern bike and i had an Evo frame at the shop, i recently got myself a Stage Evo and most of the spec from that is what i used to build this as i'd specced the Stage Evo totally different.
so it's kind of for sale but i hope it hangs around for a bit as it's just cool.

@Guinessisgoodforyou thanks. my buddy dave was in the shop today, he said the same, i think it's about not going over the top, i could have fitted a load of Hope stuff in Purple or whatever but it would have looked crap, and black for pretty much all the parts made sense, i could have done SLX or XT but i wanted black bits so Deore made sense.

Modern bike manufacturers really aught to do some retro throwback paint jobs, everything is very same same looking these days, though I'm sure they are very different if you know what you are looking at.
Think you have done a fantastic job and genuinely think there is a market you could tap into

bit of a thread ressurection because i have a dilemma!
so i built this bike for the shop really, just something cool to have, it also showwed off my painters quality for when i get resto jobs in, so i built it with mostly Deore kit as i wanted it to be black to make the frame stand out, so didn't go mad with wheels either.
there was an ulteria motive, i knew i'd have it for myself long term!
so the time has come and i'm gonna fit some Hope parts, but what colour?
i kind of think black is boring, the orange they do is kind of the wrong shade, i think purple could be out there weird, blue might work, red, no, silver boring, but the new "smoke" colour? different from silver, maybe a bit cool but not boring like black.
i'm thinking, wheel hubs in smoke, black rotors, smoke brakes, smoke crank arms, black chainring, black bb and headset and seat clamp, smoke stem.

I've got purple Hope on my orange (colour) RX9. There's no white accents on the frame so it's a whole lot of orange paint, and the purple really works. It's like regressing to my inner 90's child. About to put some new (purple) hope wheels on it, which will allow purple rotors as well.
Smoke does look good though but maybe a bit subtle for such a lairy frame?

well miy logic is the frame is bright enough, but a pic of yours would be good!
