I'm a massive fan of Andy's Stooge bikes, and I bought a Mk4 when they were first released in 2020 (which is an amazing bike too!)
However, I'd always wanted a Mk3, but when they came out in 2017 I was caught up in a second round of fatherhood, and hadn't bitten the bullet. Which I'd regretted ever since.
They're a bit unusual for Stooges - it's the only model with a 44mm headtube, so can take a modern tapered steerer suspension fork if you ever feel the need! Also, IMO, the slightly chunkier tubing they used looks ace.
So when I saw a Mk3 for sale earlier this year I was all over it
This was my 50th birthday present to myself, so I was chuffed to finally find my Stooge unicorn...
Stooge Mk3 18" frame and fork, with a custom silver/metallic fleck paint job.
Stooge Moto Bars.
Hope Tech 3 E4 brakes + floating rotors.
Hope Pro4 Wheelset with Fortus 35w rims.
Hope cranks and ring.
Hope AM Stem.
Hope 30mm BB, Headset and seatclamp.
KS Dropper and Charge Spoon saddle.
Nobby Nic 3.0" tyres, now running Specialized Purgatory 3.0" rubber.
She's been put away for the winter now, the Mk4 is going to take the abuse
Here's a pic of the Mk4...
