Picked this up local to me for a very good price imho..
I do not have a retro bike at the moment and need a mountain bike to ride with my young sons as I feel the odd one out on my CX bike and them in MTB’s…
Might also get to Hamsterley on this as it’s gotta be over 10 years since I last ride those trails!
The bike is in pretty decent condition and just needs a few wear and tear bits replacing.
The main fox fork decals have been removed so I’ve managed to source some replacements from Europe. They are on the way…
I’ve also ordered some titanium coloured braided fork lockout cables to time down the white ones. I’ve also got a new Syncros saddle on the way.
I think I’m gonna change the setup to 1 x 10 so I’ll pick up a narrow wide ring from superstarcomponents, however their website seems to be down at the moment????
I’ll also be ditching the pedals and grips and will mix a bit of red in the build.
This will be a full strip down, machine polish of the frame and rebuild to make it superb again.
Here’s a pick of it as collected… will upload pics as it’s restored but from first impressions seems to be a very capable bike.
