2008 Giant Halfway (folding bike)

Naturally the first ride was not without issue.
I set the tyres initially at 40 psi (tyre is from 36-70) which ok until the 12 stone jock had his arse in the saddle and the tyres started rubbing on the rear mudguard
So upped it to 60 psi and a soft compliant ride became too hard and the noise got exponentially worse.
So the mudguards are coming off and I’ll deal with them in a few weeks, or months.. or never 🙄😂😂

But the bike was so much fun to ride and the gripshift that I was dreading was actually great too.

All in all was it worth all the hard work I put into it?
Absolutely 110% it was, and tomorrow I’m out on it again

Yeah
Guards are for losers.

When it's raining, I drive the limo and my chauffeur rides the bike in👍

(Political joke there, but below the radar on subtlety)

The guards are kind-of cool, but the bike will look both more wicked and considerably sicker without them.

I have em for my folder, but it looks way better with them.

Jeev's bring the Bentley round, I want to go for a ride, but it's raining.

Bentley?
You ought to get a humvee stretch limo like mine, room for a wee pumptrack so you can say you ride all the way to work.
Can't stop at lights either, otherwise a drunken hen party will force entry.

I think it looks good with the guards :) but if you wont use in rain or ever ride through puddles then, or want to fit bigger tyres

It's usually always bloomin wet when I got out so I like them, even today in this heat I still rode through lots of still wet areas up in the hills. Of course you could just let my fit your guards for you, then the bloomin rear one will refuse to stay on anyway so you can still get water and muck all up your back.

I think the folder looks good with them on, might look better with them off though, also taste is very bloomin subjective. I think my own bikes look horrid with a back mudguard on (luckily they refuse to bloomin wear them) front guard is needed though for my rides, gob fulls of "stuff" if not.
