2003 Specialized Stumpjumper - Now geared!

After a bit of re-jigging to help the finances I've just picked up this little number, a 2003 Specialized Stumpjumper.

Will it stay singlespeed, will it go 1x9 or 2x9 (or even 3 x 9)? Who knows! All I know is it looks a great bike and can't wait to get out on it

Single-speed does seem weird to start with, will take a little bit of use before my head goes from saying "shift up" to "pedal harder".

I think it needs gears, I just didn't have any shifters to go on it!

Hydraulics going on it eventually?

Set-up didn't seem too bad on the way in to work this morning. Might have to give it a try off-road to see what it's like. Have a 9sp set-up waiting though, so can chop and change.

Not sure about discs, quite like having v's again.

Mmmm...not thought about it to be honest. Agree some Yellow or Red Magura's might look pretty good on it, but think I'll stick with the V's for now.

Just ordered a pair of cable stops to tidy up the top tube cable. Not bad for £0.99ea.

Can honestly say that I think I have some kind of OCD! I don't think I'd be 100% happy with any bike, but I keep chasing one that I am. Definitely a problem!
