2001 Orange ESix 19" - £350

Retro Newbie
Loved and cared for but I've been wooed by the joys of a cyclocross bike so time to say goodbye to the old girl. Maybe you can ride her off into the sunset?

She's a 19" Orange ESix frame and comes dressed for action in the following:

Forks: Pace EVO RC36
Front derailleur: Shimano Deore LX
Rear derailleur: Shimano Deore Mega
Shifters: Shimano Deore Mega
Chainrings: Shimano Mega
Cassette: SRAM PG970 9sp
Chain: SRAM PC991
Cranks: Shimano Deore
Pedals: DMR V8
Brakes: Avid
Brake Levers: SRAM Composit 9
Handlebars: Kore
Stem: STF Funn
Mavic rims and Deore LX hubs

Cables (inner and outer), cassette and chain changed very recently. Everything else in good condition.

General history: Bought second hand from a friend around five years ago who had used it from new for recreational off roading amongst a garage full of others bikes to share the load. Well cared for as a result. I've used her for a short daily commute and some gentle trails but found the joys of a cyclocross bike for long weekend cycles too great and she's not been out for at least a year now. She's in good condition and chomping at the bit for some action with her only want a set of knobbly tyres (slicks are fitted).

£350.

She's in Hackney, North London.

Happy to answer questions!

Dan

Hello, this is my first ever sale (or as it seems to be... attempted sale) through a web forum. If anyone has any advice as to how I might sell her I'd be pleased to hear from you. cheers, Dan

Hi Dan,
I dont agree with this reasoning but whole bikes never sell very well on here unless they are something utterly outstanding. So its really just a waiting game. Splitting always gets better attention, again only for the bits which are hard to find or cheap as chips.

you might wanna post a question here http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=140396&start=150 its the thread for the post 1998 valuations in the 1998 bike chat forum. Where others can help get an idea of values, for the whole or the parts of your orange.

good luck with your sale
