2001 Duke XC: worth fitting on a retro steed?

I cam by a pair of Duke XC's - 2001. As they are reasonably short travel (63/80) I was thinking of putting them onto my mid 90s Cindercone.

Anybody got any views as to whether they are worth the hassle - they look reasonably retroish.

either the SL or the Race duke was the last RS fork to come in judy yellow. i considered one several times
