deffo the biggest improvement to that bike would be a modern shock. single pivot frames pedal considerably better with modern valved rear shock.

Would it make so much difference?
I'd like to try and run the bike for a few years and replace parts as they wear out. The shock seems like new, possibly needs a strip and service.
The lockout works well, and makes the ride to and from the trails pretty much like my M4 hardtail.

They're sticking Fox Rp23's on the 5 at the mo so that'd be a good place to start. Think Scant on here was selling a few a while back?

Ta. Will probably stick with this one while it still works. It's a revelation this full sus technology. :)

Thanks all for the replies. Certainly a few things to think about while hammering this bike on the trails! :D

After a few rides around the local trails, the Evo's went pop on a night ride.
A call to Tim @ Fork English of this parish and they were packaged up and fixed. I'll add to the many recommendations on this forum.
Excellent service, great communication throughout the time that Tim had the forks.
The forks work perfectly again.

Thanks Tim!
