ive got 2 pairs both vgc and shimano.. also have a perfect tectro cabledisk caliper i want to swap for a set of 8speed rapid fires stx up cheers

I've got some stx ones. What are the STI's that you have? I'm probably asking a stupid question, but are they 8 speed? (If I'd used quote rather than reply, I'd be able to refer to your original post).

I've got a pair of 8 speed SL-MC20 in perfect working order which I would swap for your caliper, I have stripped and serviced them

I mentioned them to you first, but as I've just been offered a caliper and a lever as a swap for them I'm just gonna be cheeky and ask... I don't suppose you have a front v-brake lever that'd work with them kicking around do you? Anything that would work will do! It's a for a friend's bike... his hydra front brake is on the blink and he needs a complete cable brake assembly (minus rotor) to tide him over while we fix his Magura hydr.

good fortune has smiled my way... managed to bag a complete cable so no need for yours now... too much coffee today methinks!

But the shifters I mentioned are still yours in exchange for ten pounds posted (or have a look in the wanted thread in my sig if you'd rather still swaps), sorry for faff
