They have a Kona Dew that I could get stupidly cheap and turn into my new commuter...

my advice would be try the new stuff aswel, it has a place just as much as retro. also if you are now selling new stuff (obviously) it's worth having new stuff to ride, it helps you sell stuff.

when i was in the trade i always rode what i sold, it helps you be honest as a seller and also helps you pick out the good (and bad) points of a bike/brand/component, just try not to go to far though as you end up with a massive shop account!! been there

hope it's going well, as much as i wouldn't do it again i do actually miss it a bit.

in 3 months I get the hallowed 'trade price' discount

3 months.... wonder what I'll buy?

Looks like you've got 3 months to try out all the stuff you are interested in before buying! That should give you enough time to figure out what you really want. :D

Yup, that's what I did a year ago in the same situation as LGF

Took 8 weeks to finally decide on my bike. Same happened at the last bike shop I worked in, weighed up the options and after 4 months bought a bike

Bought a fair bit of clothing as well from my latest employer. I'm a mobile advert for Endura at the moment

3 months?

I've never worked a place where you didn't get it from day one! (which explains why I have so much stuff)

no not yet but knackered due to the change in sleep patterns and standing up all day.

Very tempted by the Kona Dew range, especially if I fit drops!
