I know I should like titanium, but the more I hear the less I am tempted down that route. I bet a steel frame would have survived that mishap with a few paint chips. :D

I was just looking at this! Other than having the boss sorted I can’t see any other way to get it back to the way it was. Nice bike otherwise and an absolute steal perhaps.

I am quite fascinated by this. I've had quite a few titanium Kona's over the years and they are very fine frames. Built to a top class standard by Sandvik. You rarely if ever, see a cracked one. To find one where the brake boss has sheared off so perfectly cleanly and with no damage to the seat stay tube, after such an innocuous incident as a bit of brake cable snagging on the tyre is bizarre!

It could be a Friday afternoon frame.

But if I was closer I would try and buy this as it could be brought back to life with a disc mount.

It does give me hope that there are still rad bikes hanging up in garages all over England even 5 years after the great Covid bicycle purge!
