I bought this Cinder Cone new in 1997. I rode it a handful of times and it found its way to the back of the garage which is pretty much where it has stayed since! 3 houses later and I'm trying to fund a new road bike so have decided to sell it. Im pretty sure it is a 20" (it measures 20" from the centre of the crank to the top of the seat tube). Will gladly confirm if anyone can help with where to measure. Im 6'2" and it fits me well.
Everything is original (even the scratch and sniff tyres) apart from the saddle and grips. I am 99% sure that I have the original Selle saddle somewhere and will try to dig it out at the weekend.
It is a real barn find and in amazing condition - i would be surprised if there are other unrestored bikes as well preserved and original. There are one or two very minor chips on the frame from storage and a tiny bit of cable rub by the headset but otherwise its in amazing nick - all original stickers and decals etc are in place.
I changed the original fork as soon as i bought the bike for the RST mozo pro thats on there. The original Kona Project 2 fork was put in a bag and bubble wrapped until today so is absolutely immaculate and original. I will obviously include both forks in the sale.
There is some pitting to the powder coat on the brake levers, one or two rusty allen bolts and it would benefit from a service and a bit of a clean i'm sure.
Im looking for £250? Any inspections are welcome - I live in Southampton. Thanks for looking
