I know this thread is 3-4 yrs old but I just stumbled across it. Always loved these, one of my best mates had one new in 96 and you couldn't ride it without feeling like Jason Mcroy, Will be keeping my eye out for one of these, red with Judy Carbons.

Hey everyone,
I just picked up a Specialized S Works M2 XX frame. I think it is a 1996. It came with a Judy FSX Carbon fork. The color is matte silver. I can't seem to find anything online to confirm the year. Can anyone help me confirm the year and where I can find a list of original components?

Hi. Welcome to the site Take a look at the first 2 digits (I think) of your frame number. That should be the year. Take a look at the catalogues stored in the manufactures section of the gallery. It'll be cool if you start your own build thread and add some pics
