There's another thread with another one of these. I had never seen one like it before ... than two in one week! Little bit of repeat here. I am looking to get this thing back to spec, whatever that spec is. This one will take a while I think.
From what I understand, this is a "for racing only" M2 frame. I believe you could get it through shop with a registered specialized race team or direct if you were a racer (and sponsored). Possibly you got the frame and than a "package" of high end components (like the 1995 M2 S Works teams).
The livery is the big diff from other M2s. Ned Overend retired in 1996 so perhaps that has something to do with my his name is on it and the livery may have something to do with the 1996 Olympics (white with specialized in the Olympic rings colours), but that's just a guess.
