Those of you who have been members on this forum for a couple of years may know that I gave this frame away in a karma raffle a while back (the first karma raffle of it's kind on Retrobike I believe, and a much better way of doing things than "first come first served in my opinion!).

Anyway, to cut a long story short, 'sinky' won the frame and it was duly sent to him.

A few weeks back, I had a PM from sinky to say that he hadn't built the frame up, and did I want it back. Needless to say I said yes, and the frame arrived back with me last week :D

I was already very grateful to sinky for his honesty (after all, he could have just sold the frame on and made a few ££), but when the frame arrived back to me complete with a brand new rear shock (Cane Creek AD12) and a brand new full bearing upgrade, I was more than happy!

My problem now is that I just don't know what to do with it! Part of me thinks I should sell the frame and let it go to someone who can build it up (I've sent a PM to sinky to ask if he's ok with this, being as he's put the bearing upgrade and rear shock on it). However, another part of me wants to keep it and build it myself, but it'll take me forever unless I was to strip my Aqua Zaskar and use the parts from that (which, incidentally would make for a fantastic LTS build, but would leave me with a lonely Zaskar frame :().

Anyway, while I mull it over, here are a few photos of the frame in question.

I've always slightly regretted not building up the tidy LTS frame that I had.

So build it up, even if only for a couple of rides. You can always swap back to the Zaskar...

The trouble I have with that is the Zaskar is currently my only form of transport to/from work. If I was going to swap all the parts over then I'd probably look to get another cheap bike for commuting on first, so that I'm not in such a rush to get the bits all changed over!

For those who haven't seen it, here's the Zaskar I'd be robbing all the bits from. The LTS should look pretty sweet with Girvins ;)

I like the idea of the Girvins on the LTS. I have a set of them about to go on a Kona Sex Too

They'll certainly fit in quite nicely with the linkage rear end :)

Hmmmmmm, what to do! If I had the time to take the Zaskar apart and put all the bits on to the LTS, then I would just to see which one I prefer.. However being as I need the Zaskar for work, it's not an option at the moment because I can't be bikeless!

maybe get a demo for a couple of days from a Local shop?

I need to get a new commuter anyway, so I'll just wait until I've got one if I'm going to go down the route of stripping the Zaskar.. I quite fancy the idea of a 17/18" Kona with a set of 700c wheels 8)

I've had both and ridden both on long rides and must say I preferred my Zaskar as I always felt too upright in the LTs & that I could go over the bars at any time, front end felt very twitchy too & didn't inspire much confidence!
