1996 Kona Explosif + Fat Franks?

Would the Fat Franks fit a 1996 Kona Explosif (96 Judy XC's up front)?

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on this before I go and source a fat set of tyres to try on.

What are the FF dimensions? Instinct says probably not. Running 2.1's is pretty tight as it is on my 97.

Do you know any other tyres the same colour as the brown Fat Franks, but not as fat?

2.35 - pretty sure you'll have hardly any clearance or they'll be rubbing.

As for anything else in brown, just ride in the mud.

A 1997 Explosif will handle 2.25" scwalbes with gap at the edges. (Up to a nobby nic anyway) Though after 3years of thick mud and dirt it has ripped the paint off.

That's the biggest you'll get in there with a bit of room.

I doubt the different 1996 stays will give any more clearance.

Thanks for the replies. I was kinda thinking it would be tight.

I'll have a look around for other tyres of the same colour in a smaller size.
