Over the last few weeks I've been tinkering with my '96 Zaskar. When I purchased the frame I initially put a mix of modern and old on it but wasn't really happy with both the looks and performance. Couple of weeks ago I managed to source a nearly complete XT M739 Groupset and also a set of NOS '97 Judy XC Forks.

Mixed it with a bit of gold 'bling' and some carbon and this is the the result - So far  Still got a few jobs; cut the steerer, fit the cabling and put new Red decals on and jobs done. Will then give it a quick once over with some Brasso to make it shine 8)

Making do with a M737 Front mech but really need a M739 to finish the groupset. Also would ideally like

What do you think?

Not 100% sure on the Spins yet, got some new decals coming for them. Looking at the pics I have now decided to dump the Hope headset spacers and get the stem sitting lower on the headset. IMO just don't look right as is.

I know there are haters but I just love the look of the Spins 8) 8) 8)

As for the spacers, maybe black ones would look better, especially if the riding position is good for you. Why not try the spacers on top for a ride or 2 before you decide to chop the steerer?

Unless of course it's form over function

Its running at about 95%.

Just drop the riser bar and chop the steerer tube down.

I liked the old decals a lot, but the red ones work well with the forks.
