Just chiming in on the tyres; they're slow on the tarmac, but that's to be expected, right? I averaged 23km/hr on today's ride and I was pushing it as hard as usual on my road bikes where I'm usually averaging 30km/hr. I think the Billy Bonkers were faster, but these are on all for the light tan wall so I'm AOK with them.

I've signed up for a 90km charity ride this weekend and have chosen to ride this bike instead of the carbon race bikes I own. Why? Because I'm in it for the pain haha! I've at least got some bar ends on there now so I can alternate hand positions for the Sydney to Gong ride. Should be a lot of fun!

We did it! Wild that my friend and business partner Nick and I were out of breath after 2 laps of Centennial Park last December, but yesterday with Gina, Reggie and Eugene we rode 86km’s from Sydney to Wollongong and with the help of donations we raised $1,560 AUD for MS.

Despite the slow rolling tyres, forks bottoming out and my cassette and headset coming loose, it was a great day out! I stopped in to a rest stop half way and a volunteer mechanic put a spacer behind the cassette which only made things worse as my gears were way out of tune for the rest of the ride (YOLO!).

The GT got a LOT of love throughout the day, one guy even asked me if he could take a photo of it! Great vibes, great ride!
