Right...
...I built this up not long ago and it just doesn't seem to get ridden with all the other bikes in the stable. So decided its time to let it go to someone who will ride it more than me. There is nothing wrong with the bike and it runs perfectly, just not the one that I ride enough to justify keeping such a nice bike. The frame has been stripped and polished with new decals applied, so its not the original finish but I am sure you would agree it is stunning! Full spec list below:
- 20" 1995 Orange P7 frame with original 1" quill SK8 stem, Hotrod bars and seatpost/clamp.
- Pace RC36 Proclass forks with 1" steerer working as they should as far as I can tell!
- XT M737 cranks with new middle ring. Outer and granny very good condition.
- XT M737 front and rear mechs
- XT M739 V brake levers and V brakes front and rear with new pads about 200 miles ago.
- XT M008 separate 8X3 shifters
- Mavic grey SUP 217 rims on LX rear and System 2 hubs. Run good if not a little rough (not noticable when riding).
- Panaracer Smoke/Dart tyres in very good condition.
- XT Bottom bracket
- Odi original grips
- Selle Italia X0 saddle
- New 8 speed casssette 200 miles ago
- New chain 200 miles ago
- New gear/brake cables 200 miles ago
Being the 1995 model it has the cable guides for canti brakes but I opted for V brakes but this could be changed back. All in all its a fine ride and has just been to this years Mayhem where it had many admiring glances from both retrobikers and modern riders too!
Looking for £375 collected or £400 delivered. (which is far less than it cost to build!) I know that this is the top price for this bike, but it is in exceptional condition. LX or STX equipped models in worse condition still seem to have commanded a good price lately both on here and ebay. And this comes with the original bars/seatpost/stem/clamp, a nice set of forks and wheels and recently rebuilt!
PM me or reply on here for any questions.
