1995 Marin Team Titanium

This one has taken a while, had a couple different parts mixes along the way. But I am very happy with it now, and only have a head tube badge and seat stay decals left to go. Close enough! Its a real sweet ride even without all full complement of logos!

When I bought the frame, I was told it was a Dean, but a quick look-up of the serial number made that out of the question, definitely a Marin. Luckily the price was not too bad, so still a decent deal (just not the steal I thought I was getting!). The previous owner had used it as a stealth commuter, so he had stripped the decals and even painted rust and patina on the frame to make it look more like a junker. Kinda nerdy cool...

A decent build with a nod to Canada:

That's very nice, bet she rides beautifully. I don't think you can beat the understated classy looks of a good un fussy Titanium build.

Thanks! Yes, its just a sweet peppy ride. Very snappy and crisp. I do feel the flex of the titanium, but in a good way! Without getting weight-obsessed, the bike sits at a respectable 24 pounds (10.9 kg).

Very nice! I've owned two Marin bikes (still got the second) so have a lot of love for them especially the Team Titanium.

I like how the gold on the chainset compliments the forks and vice versa. Classy build! 8)
