1995-1997 Klein Adroit vs Attitude

Is there anyway to distinguish the 95-97 Attitudes and Adroits?

They look the same ... serial #?

Thought '95 were true Attitudes and Adroits so you can tell just by the frame number even without a pic.

But in '96 Adroits could have either Adroit and Attitude frame numbers as Trek were using up old frame stock. Think that's why people say they're not true Adroits unless they have the bump around the bottle bosses (or was it the downtube size I forget), just rebadged Attitudes.

At least that's what I recall reading, someone will know for sure.

97's had a standard BB instead of the press fit one.

95/96 should be distinguished by the serial number. 20T95.....

The simplest way to tell the true Adroits is the size of the downtube. 2.0" = true Adroit. 1.875" = true Attitude.

Here you can clearly see the bottle bosses.
Only 2" down tube has this and it is a very big tube!

So 1995 Adroits are fairly easy to identify by those bubbles. If it's a 96 or 97 a Adroits and Attitudes are (likely) the same frame ... Old stock attitudes.

That's basically what I found from looking online, but it's nice to get better info here.

I'm looking at a bare metal Klein soon. Seller says it's an adroit and a 96.
No bubbles, but I guess it could easily be a attitude frame that was branded adroit when trek took over.
