Nice , have a soft spot for these, my first proper MTB was a Proflex 752 (bought new in 92), same design as that just two years earlier.

I think you are referring to the soft rear suspension. This is a serious mid-range build, love it. Send some of those RB stickers to this side of the pond when you get a chance.
