For Sale 1994 Marin Palisades Trail

My wife and I bought 2 bikes new back in 1994. They only ever had very light, occasional weekend use (the odd old railway trail), but have now been in the garage for the past 10 years - so, time to find them good homes.

This is my 1994 Marin Palisades Trail.

22 inch from centre of crank to top of seat post (see last photo)

Very good original condition, with original tyres, seat and handle grips.

Getting it out of the garage, I have replaced an inner tube. However, the rear gear shift doesn’t work. It isn’t the cable and have been told that it is probably a lever or something seized inside the shifter from lack of use. I’ve tried WD40, but no luck. Looks like a job for someone who knows what they’re doing (which isn’t me). They are Shimano Alivio if that helps.

Looking for £100 and someone who wants to use it. Collection from Virginia Water (GU25).

Yes, to my embarrassment, we bought the 2 bikes back in 1994 on a “we must get fit” idea and they have probably been used about 20 times since, on nothing more challenging the the Monsal Trail. Got serviced 10 years ago on another “we must start using them” idea, but haven’t left the garage since. We have now got to the age where we are more into walking.
