Have an M-Trax Ti 1000 which I bought off another Retrobiker on here to restore.
Obviously the model with titanium top and down tubes making it a nice light bike even as it is.
However since acquiring it I have turned my attention towards a Sunn XCircuit frame Im building up so need to prioritise and get something finished rather than having lots of projects.
So, here I offer this bike at the price I paid for it a few months ago.
I intended to do a full restore including powder coat.
Measures 18 inches centre of BB to top of seat tube or 17.5 inches centre to top of top tube.
Frame in canny nick with no dents or cracks at all but cosmetically decals have mostly long gone and could do with a repaint.
Appears all standard inc Alivio hubs with possibly upgraded period STX chainset and Deore front and rear mechs.
Ive checked it over and the following would be required to get it running:
Regrease/replace wheel and headset bearings as a little rough and bit play in cones.
Freehub not engaging so possibly attention required or a new freehub body?
Rear brake pads
New jockey wheels
Slight buckle in rear wheel (I could easily sort this prior to sale if req as it is a 5 minute job).
New chain (and I would guess a cassette but haven't attempted to check).
Middle ring on chainset certainly looks worn but not sure of others as cannot test due to faulty freehub
New pedals.
Im after what I paid which is £50 plus postage if you cannot collect.
I'm in Easington village east Durham and work in Gateshead so could assist in delivery in between or link up on A1 with anyone wanting to collect rather than cone to house for it.
Otherwise I would charge £25 extra to post or you could arrange courier at own expense and Ill package for free.
Alternatively Im after some bits for my Sunn frame as follows:
Pair of lightweight black rimmed wheels from 1997+. Obviously rim brake not disc.
Kona P2 forks with unthreaded 1 1/8 steerer of length 19cm or more. Black preferred.
Other lightweight period rigid forks also considered.
Set of XT V brakes and XT/LX levers
Any above items/combos or money either way would be open to discussion but the wheels are main priority.
