Finally finished! Has taken several months longer than expected due to a stuck seatpost and moving places etc.

It's not one for the purists as it's not catalogue spec, but it's for me to ride so I wanted to pick parts that were period ish correct but would also be functional for a daily.

Frame: 94 Kona Kilauea
Fork: Pace rc36 pro class
Shifters: xt m739
Rear mech: xt m739
Front mech: xt m739
Brakes levers/calipers: xt m739
Crankset: xt m737 (preferred the look compared to m739)
Wheels: Mavic 221 xt m739 hubs
Cassette: xt m737
Tyres: Charge splashback
Pedals: Wellgo mg1
Cables: jagwire inner and outer (gold)

The only thing I'm not happy with is the bar, stem and seatpost combo, so will look to find something else

Oh really? Working fine for me? Weird

Is PB not the 'in' thing anymore?

PB has ruined the site and many others by fookn the pictures up, here is a screenshot of this page.

The 2 middle pics are fine the top and bottom 2 are PB blurred

Looks nice those rusty stem bolts have my ocd twitch going ;)

That’s not rust ...... that’s the much romanced and legendary “patina” that some love to preserve and claim shows its character and the left over charm of having been out skipping over wet spring grass or frolicking in muddy puddles with wild un abandoned youthful enthusiasm in January 20 years ago

I’m in the +1 camp ....it’s just rot on two steel bolts from being ridden down the local chippy on to many raining nights and then left in a damp garage that’s spoiling the aesthetics

Please swap the bolts for new ones :D and save both of us from this torment

Re:

 I was hoping no one noticed the bolts  they were the only ones on the bike I didn't replace! But the stem was the last part to go on, and I just wanted to get out and ride it.

The stem will be changed soon, maybe for a ti, if I can find one
