1994 Kona Hei Hei frame

I'm none the wiser as to why there are Hei Hei's out there with them, but there certainly are a few. For me it devalues the frame to the point of not being worth purchasing; Why pay the Kona 'premium' (be it real or imagined) for a frame that doesn't look like a Kona? :?

Can't tell from the photo whether it's a 17 or an 18, but if it's a 94 frame as stated then there weren't any size 17s in the 94 brochure, so I'd agree with your guess Rob.

Incidentally, although there were no size 17s in the 1994 brochure, here is a size 17 1994 Kula. It is US-owned, so my belief (but happy to be corrected by anybody who knows more) is that they started to make size 17 in 1994, but didn't import any to the UK until 1995.
