I'm still riding my '94 Bontrager Race Lite mt. bike (now my off road touring bike) and the seat post finally broke. Am confused as to whether I should buy a 26.8 seatpost or a 27. Any advice from those who might still have one of these old rides would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Carl Rubin

As others have said, 26.8mm dia. is right. I've got a 1994 Race Lite and it's perfect.
I think the 'Ridesmarter' web site has it listed as part of the Bontrager frame specifications.

The side menu 'Frames and Forks' should have the vital details for geometry spec, standover height etc. I just can't get that to load for me right now.
