Retro Newbie
All,
This is my baby...a 1993 GT RTS-1 that was rebuilt over a twelve month period using XTR and a few later model bits for performance.
Comments welcome!

Very nice, I've always wanted one ever since I saw Rob Warner on his black beastie in MBUK. I think it deserves a hydraulic disk up front and some lovely tan walls to mix nicely with your modern parts :)

How do they ride?

All,
Thanks for the kudos!

Minifreak - she rides like a dream, mostly due to the Risse Racing rear shock, and the Reba's up front probably help to, much better than the elastomerics these things came with. I definitely want to upgrade the treads as these are a bit slippery on the wet roots on the trails I've been hitting. Tan sidewallies might be a decent touch. Thanks.

Mikee - the project started out as a 16" but while acquiring parts I came across a pristine 14.5" frameset that I decided to switch over to, seeing as how I was moving into a longer front fork and was looking at reducing my standover. I ended up selling off the hand polished 16" on ebay for three times what I bought the 14.5" for. :-D

Happy Holidays!

Nice!

Never seen a white rear swing arm before..

Frame and decals look mint!

My RTS 1 is coming....just very slowly :)
