Picked this tidy little Clockwork as a package from it's original owner. It's the less common 15 size, forks are off a Prestige, but matching finish. The bare frame is just 4 pounds in weight and with the quality kit on it, builds up into a sub 20 pound ride.
As ever the ride is just quality, smoothing out all the stutter bumps and corners like only a Clockwork can.
It's somewhat unusual in so much as it has the ovalised seat tube/BB junction and no rack mounts, the decals were tricky to reproduce too, as they were reflective Orange and had a pale grey fine outline and scaled down in size for the smaller frame.
I planned all silver components, but the mint STX canti's that came with it and the Black Seiki cartridge head set, tone in with the satin paint. (I had M900, but feel the black looks better?
Stem is a 3ttt touring one, that same as on the original, made from Columbus and very light at 202g, but badged 3ttt instead of "Clockwork"
Titec Titanium stem, Hot Rod bars, Sachs shifters (weight saving and I like them) period 105 rear mech ( everyone used these as they saved weight and were very snappy)
Wheels are mint Campag Icarus hubs that run forever, ultra low friction on stunning Ti coloured Mavic 217's, Record 8 speed 12-26 cassette and despite the 36 holes are a very light wheelset.
Kept the weight down where I can, with Ti Allen key skewers, Ti and ally bolts where I can and it shows on the scale!
I may swap out for more Campag parts, but as we all know they weigh a bit, so a little split on whether to go down that route or not.
