*SOLD*
Hi all,
Looking now to sell my 1993 Kona Cinder Cone framset, including Project 2 forks (with no decals), bottom bracket (DX I think), Impact headset, Velocity stem and the original Kona chain guard on the chainstay. It's a 19" centre to top.

A fab ride, it's double butted cromoly steel tubing which gives it a smooth but zippy ride and builds up nice and light too.

More info below photos.

It has been ridden properly so it has the expected scratches and dings from decent use but looks great in the original metallic racing green to grey fade.

Stem is in good condition with some scuffing on the top of the bar clamp, one decal has a little glazing and the other is excellent and it still has the 'Joe Murray' decal on the bar clamp, as well as the rubber bung (often missing).

Project 2 forks have no decals and there are quite a few scratches on the left side of the crown (see photo) but otherwise fine.

Bottom bracket is nice and smooth, and the Kona chain guard is in great condition.

The seat clamp is there and good condition as is the cable guide under the bottom bracket. I also can supply a cable stop clamp for the rear brake if you need one.

The photos show it all as best I could.

Hopefully £110 sounds reasonable for this classic piece of Kona history.

I live near Monmouth in south east Wales so am happy to meet up any reasonable distance from there, but also happy to post in the UK at whatever the postage cost would be (but I would need to find this out).

Cool thanks! I'm just over 6ft would a 19" be about right do you think? I've never owned one so not sure.

I'm 5' 10.5" and it fits me just right. I would say there is easily room for a couple of inches leeway either side of that.
The stem is 130mm centre to centre which is also long compared to today's stems, which gives you a little more stretch and they were designed to be used with a laid back seatpost too.
Hope that helps.

I am 5.10" and ride 17/18" Kona's a 19 would be too big for me. The '93 is also more stretched out than other years.
