Something 'unmissable' has come up so the 'Beast of the East' is maybe up for sale.

1993 Cannondale M800 Beast of the East, MINT condition.

I *think* its a 19" - well I know it's a LARGE

All (or most of the parts) are NOS or modern, this bike has not been ridden yet, has been sitting in my garage as I have been to busy to finish her off (ooooh-err missus)

Shimano XT rear mech
Shimano LX front mech and shifters
Shimano LX servo-wave brake levers (new)
Shimano XT (modern-ish) V-brakes (new)
brand new Shimano 8-speed cassette
Shimano XT Parallax hubs on Campag Stethno rims (NOS)
Brand new Surly 1x1 rigid forks
Fred Salmon racing bar/stem combo (NOS)
Ritchey grips (new)
Ringle Moby Deuce post
Selle Trans Am saddle
FSA pig headset (1 1/4" to 1 1/8th)
Shimano LX crankset (NOS)
Continental Gatorskin tyres with Ritchey supersonic tubes
Onza cage pedals with kickbacks and strapless toeclips

The list goes on... there are some chips to driveside chainstay from chain slap, apart from that this bike looks showroom fresh, the chain still needs to be fitted (shimano 8-speed) and the cables/brakes need routing/indexing (have carbon goodridge cables for this)

The colour scheme is Italian Metallic White which is GORGEOUS and was sprayed by Bob Jacksons last year......

All of the kit (well 90% of it) is brand new/NOS as you can see. All in all this cost me around £450 to build very recently, so I am after £350 posted. This really is gorgeous and is sexy as hell in the light!

I am 6', but this would suit someone up to '6 3" at a guess, Ill get some more detailed pics up at request......

REALLY don't want to sell this, but need funds for another lush project

Would be professionally packaged in a bike box and delivered 24hr with senditnow.com

Or collection from SE London is also welcome

I WONT BE SPLITTING THIS BIKE AS I NEED TO SELL QUICKLY IN ORDER TO BUY OTHER FRAME.

If I miss the deal, Ill keep the 'Dale

Thanks for looking

136 views and no interest????

This truly is a lovely bike, almost brand new, gorgeous!!!

Don't let the slicks put you off, they can always be replaced

This is an MTB after all, and 90% of the parts are all period correct (ish)

Sensible offers considered, but the clock is ticking this end, if no serious interest, she shall be kept!

those forks are designed for suspension corrected frames , not a 1993 Cannondale .

they lift the front too much .

Chris is right. Pedal fast enough and you will end up in space as its pointing so far upwards.

I have to say if there was a split i am very interested in that frame, VERY!

I know, but they had the lowest a-c out of all of the rgid forks available at the moment, I really wanted some peps, but I would need an original uncut steerer set, and people were asking far too much money!
