If your in the US there is a nice Bridgestone mtb in the Craigslist. But I think this MB-1 could be a 1993 MB-S:

Read that it was the ugly duckling of the Bridgestone range. The designer Grant Petersen tried to avoid suspension at all cost but had to give in due to falling sale's and the instructions of Japanese management. But for some reson it's not included in the catalog!: http://sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/1993/index.htm

Also wonder why they opted to fit a Specialized Future Shock (rebranded Rock Shox Mag 21). Could it be that it has a 1" headset and Rock Shox couldn't supply them with matching forks?

Cheers /Pete

I have never (before) seen a manufacturer list their production quantities pr model. Nor a 90s catalog that looks like it was made 100 years ago. Weird. :)

Yeah, Grant did things a bit differently and there's lots of interesting articles.

So judging by the paint and parts the bike in my link above could be a MB-1 after all. :?

The old Bridgestone catalogues are really nice, have a few of them. They contain articles of quite diverse subjects, from the properties of wool to tube butting techniques. :)

From the colour scheme it looks like a 88/89 MB-1, but somebody has exchanged a few of the XT parts to LX.

Thanks Jan! Yes, it's the perfect April-fools-day-rig! :)
Was thrown off by the similarity of parts fitted. Geometry also seem a bit slack compared to the 93's.

You may have heard I got buissines to discuss with you so I'll pm you shortly.

Glad Påsk & Happy Eastern 'yo all!
