1992 Trek 2100

It has been about 15 years since I last rode a road bike. Thought I would throw back to a early 90s carbon lugged Trek. Been wanting one for 25 years. In 1991-94 I rode a carbon Giant Cadex and loved it. Finally I found a trek in my size and in good condition for a really good price. The frame just got here and I love it. Don't a lot of parts though so this build will take awhile. Going to be mostly a around town night ripper. Thinking old 7-8 speed Ultrega 600. So far I have Chromag flat pedals and saddle, Syncros seatpost, Salsa ti skewers, and thats about it. Going to build it cheap.

Oh and I'm having trouble dating this frame. Its not the typical color for 1992 but has the same decals. Did they make two color schemes that year? Any help appreciated.

Re:

got the 2300 in purple from 1992. Maybe the year is wrong anyway it is a lovely bike to ride. Mine has a lot of long distance rides done on it.

You can use modern kit on it too. That what I have done anyway well it has a mix of campag 10 and 11 speed kit on it.

I like the frame you have found didn't know there was a red one or even a 2100. I suppose that was the earlier version of the 2300.
