I have talked with him and he seems legit. I considered buying it and taking the parts to rebuild my own '92 but that seems like a waste of a nice bike so I bought the parts piecemeal.

Oufff i bought one of these on my trip to california from a bike swap for about $50. I fixed it up and rode it for the trip and sold it to a friend of a friend for $100 i think =) It really is the promised land of 2nd hand bikes over there!
