1992 GT Richtor

holy mackaroonies!!

mr clockworkgazz, thanks so much for putting the pics up! i work in a real busy bikeshop, & couldnt get them up, it was driving me nuts!

anyway, i have had a quite a lot of interest in this bike! but before i go on, heres the lowdown;

1 owner before me. used mainly on road. (had slicks on when i got it)
ive never used it! (up & down the road)

the only part needing replacement is the rear rim (RM20) & brake pads.

it does have some rust, nothing a good scrub wont get rid of, but it could do with a clean-up, & due to lack of use the left-side of the u-brake has gone sticky. if you have the time, she would love a strip-down & re-build. (but be good & put all her parts back on;) the forks need a pump-up, but ill try & do this at work. they seem fine.

the shifters feel like new, you can tell she's not had a hard time.

i may be able to post anywhere if the right person wants it sooo bad, ill just have to get a qoute. (kikaha, if its berlin, ill look into it)- uk most places £20-£30 i reckon, maybe cheaper.

anyway, as ive had sooo much interest, & i love retrobike so much, im def. not tempted to ebitch it. in terms of who got here first etc. well thats all down to who spends more time working or looking at retrobike

so howabout everybody post thier offers BELOW, so that we can all see. dont p.m them to me, cus' i could bump it up, & i dont wana been seen doin' no husslin'

like a mini-auction! (mods-if im breaking any rules let me know)

£70..

hey xeo, if there is a line for rules, you have a sneaky toe on the other side :)

One reason for rules was to stop auctions here, ebay does a pretty good job already.
Up to you if you sell for £70 now, but if not, please put up a new price that you would sell for.

How would we feel if sainsburys did this ?

I'd love it if Sainsbury's held retro bike auctions.

Tesco would be better as there's a store closer to me.

If it's £70, it's £70. If you wanted more then you should've upped the price and taken less or tried to research it first. Hard to research an ancient I know, I've tried with some of my bikes. Anyone want to start the bidding at £..........................

Ok guys,

my main aim was just to play fair, i didnt want to break any rules, & all i wanted was for her to go to a good home :D

the problem was i had so much interest, when i really thought id get none, maybe one person after it! how wrong was i!

anyway, i have been offered an amount for the bike, so it is sold :) - you have a p.m

next week ill be adding more of my kit to sell! without the dicking about

thanks, cristian

I think you'll find that most retailers raise their prices on goods when demand for them rises.

Anyway Sainsburys does worse than this, raises prices when demand is static and also engages in price fixing with other retailers. You not been watching the news?

Good job you don't know what tricks 'reputable' retailers play with consumers, you'd be furious.
