It's funny Mike. I was in State College back in July this year and went over to Eddies to see if he'd consider selling the bike. He said there was no way he was going to sell it... wonder what made him change his mind.

@GoldenEraMTB: I wasn't sold on the hi rise Hothead at first, but now it's grown on me.

I'd like to think the Groves have been designed to ride well, rather than ape the ass-in-the-air roadie position a lot of older early 90's bikes have. Everybody likes the high saddle low bar look but in reality it's bikes like the Groves that are the best to ride, have more control etc.

It looks so right to me because of this.

Nicely stated! I'd have to agree. Now that I've taken it for a spin I can say my back and wrists are happier.

I know; high rise bars have grown on me, as well! Isn't it great to not always be riding in race mode

The Hothead looks pretty slik for a high-rise stem, I'm guessing the oval design offers a bit of 'give' too? - It's not Ti is it?
