It lost its funky paint scheme after the owner had a crash. It went back to Dave for repair and was re-painted silver. In more recent times, it was lovingly restored by NeilM. Frame repairs and new paint were done by Argos Cycles in Bristol. Neil had a modern disc mount added and created a ‘retro-mod’ build. Neil’s build thread here;

Paint is in overall great shape. There are a few marks from usage.

Included in the sale is the original Hope caliper mount so if someone prefers to put the frame back to ‘1992 spec’ later on, they can.

I can also provide some of the parts needed if someone is looking to do a build similar to original catalogue spec including Pace RC35 fork kit, Mavic 315 headset, Hope parts... these can be negotiated additionally.

Beautiful frame .

interested...have fond memories of some MBUK articles about this frame ( one of the, being a classic MBUK goes caving / potholing piece).

need to compare measurements with my original riding bikes to confirm this will ride ok, ... (sold one of my mavic headset 1” headsets so that would be useful)... will go do some further research.... if anybody else on here feels compelled to purchase please ignore my post.

I remember that caving article. Indeed a CATSWISKAS - yellow and blue from memory, with the Hope mechanical disc. Let me know how you get on with your measuring 👍

I’ll definitely have it, been looking for one of these for ages. I’ll pm to sort out payment and delivery details. Peace and love, H
