1991 Saracen Trekker Hydrotech

Took it for a little ride today, forgot what riding a bike this old felt like (restricted to a 1997 GT and Kona as my retro rides of recent times). Despite the long stem it seems to handle really sharply, hard to describe hope someone knows what I mean

Didn't venture too far offroad but it had a great feel to it and I can't wait to take it to a South West meet sometime. In the meantime I got home and continued the laborious task of degreasing it, so took some new photos. Hopefully you can see it looks a lot cleaner. It really is in mint condition, even has original Saracen took clips.

This is by far the worlds most comfortable seat!

Comber you have revived the old beast well, Looks very clean and in good honest (never done nowt) condition  Love it

Thanks mate. Assume you still have yours? I like it so much its taken all my time away from the Kili project

Like that with the original Farmer John and Cousin combo too. Quite rare to see the underbar LX push-push STi's with Maguras, my CB has XT thumbies, was this a Saracen only thing?
Only thing is one of the maguras looks too low in the pics, needs moving up and out slightly.

Carl.

Think the push push LX was standard but stand to be corrected. Seen the catalogue on here but forgotten now. Surprised how well they work though, awesome.

Yeah noted about he maguras, took off the one side when cleaning it and then put it back on for the photos without riding it. Noticed it was low when the wheel hardly turned on the way to the shed. Cheers for pointing it out though.

What is your CB? Claude Butler?
