1991 Rocky Mountain Hammer

The red bar goes well with the frame. Very nice! 8)

On principle, I'd have to disagree on your "altitude" comment. ;)

I wager in a blind test no one could tell the difference in an altitude, equipe, blizzard or hammer with the same build kit.. Really the model names were just different built kits. So the altitude was made in Canada with Ritchey Logic prestige and the hammer is made in Japan from Ritchey super logic. The geometry is almost the same. A half degree slacker head tube on the hammer and blizzrd (better IMHO), that's it.

Nice Build! I have agree with you, I think that if you took certain rocky models and painted them in the theme of the others very few ppl would ever know... If you painted your hammer black and white with a blizzard decal kit very few ppl would ever notice (until it was pointed out to them of course... as there are subtle differences)

Thanks for the compliments. Well the blizzard is the one that is easy to ID with the radically sloping top tube, but the geometry is still the same or very similar to the others... Actually the equipe and altitude in 1991 were exactly the same and the hammer and blizzard were the same.. however, the hammer, equipe and altitude all have the same frame configuarion so would be nearly indistinquishable.

Re:

Wait till you see my avalanche... Talk about crazy downward sloping top tube! =P

I'll start a build thread this weekend

Wow! That turned out great. Are those the Real chainrings you got from me? Do they work ok?

Thanks, I had started out with the real rings but the 24T small had pulley rub on the largest cog and the big ring was too thick and didn't allow for enough clearance between the derailleur and the crank so I had so swap them out. The mid is the real ring. They shifted find but are not suitable for this crank. Thanks Again.
