I am new to the single speed thing, but really fancy one for my commute and my plan was to buy an older bike and convert to single speed.
The commute is only 3 miles, and is literally all downhill one way and uphill coming home. I'd most likely put slicks on it to help. I have a really crappy road bike which seems to have bitten the dust, hence why i'm looking for another bike. Anyway, why am I telling you this, I have no idea! haha
Would it be considered blasphemy to paint it black? :shock:

Everything works absolutely fine, it had a reasonably long 1st ride around the Binbrook area in North Lincs and performed absolutley perfectly.
If I was being picky the rear V brakes stick out from the frame too far, sometimes a problem on older frames designed for cantis. They work fine anyway so it doesnt bother me.
Personally I think it woud be wrong to paint it back as the original paint and decals are in such nice condition. The traffic will see you well as it is anyway

Do you know what, I don't think there's need for more pics, ha! I'll take it mate. I'll send you a PM so we can discuss payment etc if that's ok.
And I won't do anything rash with the colour, i'll keep it for a while first before I make any decisions. I'd hate to rush into spraying it and then regret it.
