1991 Cannondale SE2000 restoration - finished

This project has been a slow burner but is finally done.

The neon green stem is the only deviation from how it was when it left the factory - I still have the original grey one but trying the green for now. There's also a pair of NOS XT pedals with neon green toe straps, that weren't fitted when the photos were taken.

And having the rear spring powder coated made a world of difference to the look of the whole bike - insane how one item can lift the whole look.

I've got an identical one with the steel flexstem. Mine had spent 25 odd years in a Scottish loft before I bought it.

Well done !
The EST is one of my favourite retrobike. Not the best, not the lightweight but the coolest of my collection.
Nice idea about the neon green Flexstem
