Was that the xc worlds course BTW?

No. The XC course was at the ski resort, 30 miles north of here. Dual Slalom & Trials were in town.

Quite right too Slalom bike = seat down. DH bike = seat down, bigger chainring fitted if you were keen ;-)

I remeber tim flooks riding his LTS for both the DH & XC nationals as late as 98! (nannerch if memory serves..)

That is correct. Final took place under floodlights if my memory serves me correctly.

Yep thats what I used to do, dunno why I was so surprised but I thought maybe for the worlds people would have had a better approach
I remember when a mate who was into DH racing more than anything else actually went so far as to take his bar-ends off for a race. We thought he was crackers, how we laughed.
