1990 Kona Explosif - any interest and roughly how much?

That's a superb bike, I'd be very surprised if it sold for as little as £150. I would suggest removing the lights and the bottle cage to make it as racy and original-looking as possible for the eBay photos. It's a pity about the slicks, I'd swap them to nobblies for the photos and auction if you can. I just think the buyer who is going to bid the highest is somebody who wants to ride it off-road and making it look as though it's only good for commuting is just a tiny bit lame by comparison.

If you form a clear view of how much you want for it, why not put in the For Sale forum on here? Costs nothing and if it worked it would be quicker and easier than eBay as well.

Agree with anthony, if you put nobblies on that and take off the surplus kit (light etc), a better saddle, I reckon you'd get close to £300..

I've not seen many Explosifs that old on the bay, and track two's are selling for £100 themselves..

The last 88 Explosif in decent nick went for over £400, so I'd get some nice pics, list it and see what happens..

Wow - never thought it would be worth so much. I thought it was going to be antique no one was interested in.

I will take off the extra kit, but dont have much time on my hands so will leave the tyres on (i know, i know....) and leave the original avocet seat on.

Will stick a link on here as soon as i get listed on ebay.

Thanks for the interest and advice.

I'd have paid upto £250 for it (if it were a 19" - 18" a little to small for me unfortunately), might conider it still for between £150 and £225

well done - it should do quite well on there - I just saw a tricked out early explosif sell on there for £250
