Just picked this one up from ebay. The guy selling it (not sure if he is a member here) said he used to ride for Kona and this was his race bike!
The kit is a mix of Shimano DX, Suntour XCD and the grip shift shifters. Wheels are DX hubs with Mavic rims. The stem is a flexstem and seems to be in really good condition.
The frame is in good nick and the paint work is pretty good for 21 years old. Some parts could do with a touch up but as its going to be my daily rider I'm going to leave it as it is for now.
The stickers are really good apart from the head tube sticker but again I'm going to leave for now.
I do want to put the Suntour kit on so currently looking for bits, but I made a start at the weekend by replacing the front brake to a Suntour XC. I've ordered the rear and some lavers and shifters so hopefully I can replace them in time.
At the moment I'm going to enjoy it as it is and the few times I've been out on it so far its been a really fun ride and very responsive.
Enjoy and hopefully I'll do updates as and when I get the kit and the time to do stuff. Also got to finish off the Zinn so I can get that on the site too.
Enjoy!
First few pics are as I picked it up and the last three or four are after a bit of clean and spruce up of the rims (which came up a treat after a scrub) and a tyre change!
