He had started that auction, then ended it, then relisted it. I had a bid on it; it was canceled with no explanation.

I think I'll pass on this one...though it is nice, or so it seems.

how do we tell the difference between the 1990 and 91 models?

I'm not aware of any mitered crowns that were sold in the U.S. for the 91 models, only in Europe, and even then not that many. The other way to tell is a serial number of BATnnn or less commonly ATnnn. 91 models had a serial number Annn.

Personally, I would rather have a later model of the 1990 model year (sans embossed Klein logos). Some people consider that more desirable. Which isn't the way I feel about it. Some of the earlier 1990 models had defects as to how the headtube was bored. Please don't ask how I know.

Cheers Jimmy Lad. That looks mind bending. I used to have one in moonrise colours and i sold it for pin money. So now i want another one to rekindle the flame. The only thing i have so far is a pair of cooks cbr cranks a hopefully a pair of mavic paris dakars on the way........
