Hello all. Picked this up the other week and got all over excited as it's got genuine prototype, hand made and other none stock decals on it and it didn't seem to have a serial number on the bb shell. The thread discussing it with more pictures is here:

Anyway, cleaned up the frame today and found a serial number on the seat tube so now doubt it was hand made in Halifax. That said it may well be some kind of prototype, maybe a pre production or short run test frame from the far east. It certainly has some features that other Clockworks I've had from the period didn't and I've no reason to believe the extra decals were not fitted from new :? Either way I've lost my initial interest in this build as I don't want to repaint it and would prefer a 92/93 to use as a rider. Maybe the new owner will find out more about it and who knows, it might turn out to be of real interest but I'm on a bit of a downer TBH so am offering this up for the price I paid. Might well change my mind so get it while it's hot!!
Included in the sale is what you see in the pictures. The frame, forks and stem are straight and damage free although there's a bit of rust and lots of scratches. It's a 19" frame. The seat post is stuck at present but I've not tried too hard to shift it. The stem was as well but came free with a bit of effort so the seat post shouldn't be too much of a problem. The bb seems ok and the headset should be servicable. The LX front + rear mech and STX shifter/lever combo are a bit snotty but are servicable. The front wheel's a cheapo but the rear is period correct so might be worth restoring. I'll chuck in any other part that came with it as well.
As mentioned, I only want what I paid so it's up for £70 collected. I'll post for an extra £10. You'll pay around that for a bog standard Clockwork so if this turns out to be a bit special someone might get a bargain
I'm off to be grumpy now.
